Our dear friend Mr. Rick Stokes passed away last night. Mr. Stokes was instrumental in developing a lot of the building blocks that Detyens is built on today. Although he was tough, his heart was huge. I will miss him as a friend and mentor. Loyjr. ... See MoreSee Less

Had the pleasure of working directly for Mr. Stokes for many years...he was tough, but fair and stood up for you. Will be greatly missed...Rest in Peace Mr. Stokes

Mr. Stokes, "Pops", was a good man to work with and for. I enjoyed the years I worked for him. "Our nation is in mourning today, for another veteran has died."

Another great one gone! Rest in peace Mr. Stokes!

Always respected that man for his lead by example ways and never give up attitude. Great Guy ......

I am so sad to hear this. My dad worked with Mr. Rick for many, many years!

You always knew exactly where you stood with Mr. Stokes. He was one of a kind. I enjoyed working with him and listening to his stories from his Navy days, etc. RIP Rick.

Mr Stokes along with Earl Shepherd hired me originally at the shipyard, and always had my back and supported during my career at the shipyard. He will truly be missed; we have the watch sir, Rest In Peace with fair winds and following seas.

RIP Mr.Stokes. Such a good man! Miss the good times we had on the golf course and my days at Detyens

Sorry to hear about him passing away. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the DETYENS Shipyard & Ricks family.

Rest in peace will miss him greatly. He did a lot for the shipyard

He stood up for you when you was right I appreciate that RIP Mr.Stokes

I thought a lot of him I will never forget what he done for me when I left the shipyard . He made me feel I was not just a number. All he ever wanted was for you to be honest to him and and it would work out

This is so sad .. he was a good man and will be missed!

A great man that will be missed by everyone at the yard.

Sorry to hear this. He will be missed.

An all round nice person

RIP ūüíź
