Detyens Shipyards, Inc received a $9.1 million contract from the U.S. Navy to service the USNS John Lenthall, a fleet replenishment oiler that’s part of the Navy’s U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command. Work on the ship will consist of repairs to a cracked support post; switchboard cleaning and repair; evaporator replacement; life boat and rescue boat inspections; and other services. The work, which will be completed at the Detyens facility in North Charleston, is expected to be finished by June.
